B5 Jesus Grew and Became Strong, Luke 2:22-40, Feast of the Holy Family

Simeon had been waiting for Mary's baby to come to the temple. He knew from the scriptures that he was the Messiah. Anna knew, too. You are in God's power when you treat people kindly and help others. You are in God's favor when you forgive yourself and others. Mary and Joseph took the baby Jesus home with them. There he became strong and grew in wisdom and the favor of God.
