After Jesus died on the cross, he appeared in a locked room with the Apostles. By his life, death, and resurrection Jesus Christ showed you the compassion and love God the Father has for you, his child. He knew being forgiven gives human beings peace. Jesus gave the Apostles the power to forgive sins. In this way he is sharing his peace with you. He loves you very much.
