B5 Baby Jesus Is Presented to the Lord, Luke 2:22-40, Feast of the Presentation of Jesus to the Lord

Forty days (approximately 6 weeks) after the birth of a baby, the parents took him⁄her to the temple and offered their baby in service to the Lord. They took two turtledoves as an offering. You can do this today. You can say to God. "I offer myself to you. I will be a good and faithful servant. I will love you above all. I will love my neighbor as myself. I will forgive myself and others."
