A40 Jesus Must Be Killed, Matthew 16:21-27, Twenty-Second Sunday in Ordinary Time

Jesus agreed with Peter that he was the Messiah written about in the Holy Scriptures. The apostles were upset when Jesus told them that he would have to die on the cross. They did not understand what he would have to be killed to be the Messiah. Jesus died on the cross so that your sins could be forgiven. He died so that you can go to heaven. Oh happy day. Thank you, Jesus.
