Mary went to the tomb. Jesus was not there. He had arisen. Jesus died and rose from the dead so that your sins would be forgiven by your almighty Father in heaven. Easter eggs are symbols of new birth.  Each time God forgives you, you begin a new life. Each time you forgive another person, you are giving them a new life...a new start...a new day.  This gives you and them reasons to rejoice in the God who made you.
