Mr. Chicken crowed
proudly, “Lovely, simply lovely. You have talent, real talent. Someday,
you’ll be a Star. Yes, sirree – a big
STAR.” Then he strolled away whistling Flip’s song and swinging
his cane.
Flip waddled in a daze dreaming about
being a STAR. He thought, “Everyone
will come to hear me play my song. Grandma will be so proud of me.
She’ll clap her hands and say, ‘That’s my grandson.’”
