Transfiguration
“His clothes became dazzling white.”
God can create dazzling
changes in you. Where you need to be strengthened, he will make you strong.
Where you need to care more for others, he can make you more loving. Begin by
looking for signs of God in you. Your soul shines for God. Your soul yearns to
see him. Use God's flashlight to show you the way.
God can bleach out the
stains of sin because his Son,
If you don’t know the
good things, you have done for others, God will show you. People remember the small things you do for
them. A small thing for you can be a
“big” thing for someonelse. At entrances to restaurants, bathrooms, and
elevators it is difficult to hold the door and push a wheelchair at the same
time. When you open the door for a lady
pushing her Mother in a wheelchair, it is a “small” thing for you, but it is a
“big” favor for the lady pushing the wheelchair.
Your Mother comes home
tired from working all day. When you
bring her a glass of ice water, it is a “small” thing for you. However, it is a “big” favor for your Mother.
You are dazzling child
of God. God loves you very much.
Say the “Our Father” and
ask God to help you see his goodness in everyone you meet, especially your
neighbors and yourself.
“Our
Father, who art in Heaven,
Hallowed
be Thy name.
Thy
kingdom come.
Thy
will be done,
On
earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day, our daily bread.
And
forgive us our trespasses,
As
we forgive those who trespass against us.
And
lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.
