Mary kept these things in her heart
When the
shepherds came they said an angel told them that the Messiah had been born who was
wrapped in swaddling clothes and lying in a manger. Mary listened and kept
these words in her heart. She thought about these words every day, just like
you do when you get good news. You think of it over and over again. When your
parents hear good news about you, they are proud and those good words cheer
their hearts every day. When you hear
the good news about how much God loves you, keep these words in your heart.
Think of them often. Be thankful for God’s love will keep you going all of your
life.
Share good
things with others. Tell them what you like about them. When they help you,
thank them. When they help others, thank them. When you say good things about
others, it will fill them with good words from the bottom of their feet to the
top of their heads. They will walk with a good picture of themselves on the
inside and outside. God will be proud of
you for sharing his
good words.
Say the “Our
Father” and ask God to give you the right words to encourage others to grow
closer to him. Ask him to fill you with
the good words to keep you on his path.
“Our
Father, who art in Heaven,
Hallowed
be Thy name.
Thy kingdom come.
Thy will
be done,
On earth
as it is in heaven.
Give us
this day, our daily bread.
And
forgive us our trespasses,
As we
forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.”
