Solemnity of the Most Holy
Trinity
“Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the
name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the holy Spirit.”
Jesus told the eleven disciples to make disciples of
all nations. He wanted the people to be baptized in the name of the Father, the
Son, and of the Holy Spirit. The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit is the
Holy Trinity.. There are three distinct persons in the Blessed Trinity. There
is only one God. Click here to see pictures of the Holy Trinity.
Each person in the Holy Trinity has a job to do. God
the Father creates and maintains his creations through his love. In the
scriptures, when asked who God was, he answered: Yah (I am) weh (who
I am).
God the Father’s love is his son. Jesus Christ died
on the cross to save you from our sins. He has been given all power in heaven
and earth so that you may be baptized. He asks you to be good disciples. He
wants you to love God totally. He wants you others to love others as much as
you love yourself. He wants you to teach others to do that, too. Jesus is with
you always, even to the end of the ages. He is in your heart. He is in your
soul. He is in your hands. He is in your feet. He is in your brain. When you find it
difficult to forgive yourself and others, Jesus is there to fill you with love
and forgiveness.
The Holy Spirit proceeds from the
Father and the Son and is sent to help raise Jesus from the dead. The Holy
Spirit helps man to keep saying “NO” to evil and to say “YES” to God. The
people will be filled with virtue. He does this with his seven gifts of the
Holy Spirit: wisdom, understanding,
counsel, strength, fortitude, knowledge, piety, and fear of the Lord. When you use these
gifts you are able to fill your world with the Fruits of the Holy Spirit:
Charity, Joy, Peace, Patience, Benignity, Goodness, Long-suffering, Mildness,
Faith, Modesty, Continency, and Chastity. Then God sees his world filled with goodness
and mercy. He realizes that what he created is truly good.
Say the “Our Father.” Thank God giving
you his Son, Jesus Christ as your savior and to show you his love. Thank him
for sending the Holy Spirit with his wonderful gifts to help you stay away from
evil.
“Our
Father, who art in Heaven,
Hallowed
be Thy name.
Thy
kingdom come.
Thy
will be done,
On
earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day, our daily bread.
And
forgive us our trespasses,
As
we forgive those who trespass against us.
And
lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.
