Jesus Gives Us the Power of Light

Music and Midi File

Imagine yourself in a place with no light. There is not even a moon to give light from the sky. When you move from one room to another in your home, you might bump into chair. You might slip on a skateboard, and fall down. Then your Father hands you a flashlight. When you turn it on, you don’t trip and fall. You can see things that might harm you. You can see better where things are in front of you. God our heavenly Father has given us Jesus Christ to light our path showing us how to get into heaven. He is the light of the world.

Jesus gives the power of light to those who believe in him. The power of God is very bright in you, Child of God. You can see clearly where you should go. God goes with you every step of your life. He is holding your hand. When someone has a new idea, a cartoonist shows a little light bulb going off around the head. God gives each of us every idea we have. He gave us a good brain to figure out how to solve problems peacefully.

Say the “Our Father.” When your power is low, it is a good idea to pray. When you don’t know what to do, it is a good idea to pray. When you do not have enough, it is a good idea to pray. When you have gone off God’s path, it is a good idea to pray. Ask God to forgive you all of your sins. Ask God to help you share the light he has given you with others. Teach others how to pray.

“Our Father, who art in Heaven,

Hallowed be Thy name.

Thy kingdom come.

Thy will be done,

On earth as it is in heaven.

Give us this day, our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses,

As we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.”
