28:1-10 Bible Gateway New International Version
“He is not here; he has
risen.”
Alleluia! What a wonderful and glorious
day! Jesus rose from the dead! He is arisen.
He rebuilt the temple in three days.
Jesus’ body was the temple that was rebuilt in three days. Imagine Mary Magdalene’s and the other Mary’s
surprise when they saw Jesus alive, looking as if he had never been
killed. It was scary for them but very
joyous. Yet, seeing him alive created
anew the faith that Jesus really was the Son of God. Because of Christ’s crucifixion and
resurrection, you know that you can one day sit in heaven with God, your
almighty Father. Jesus Christ is your
savior, your God, and your friend. This
day you have a chance to say, “No, to evil.”
You have a chance to shout joyously, “Yes, Lord, I am ready to do your
will.”
Say the “Our
Father” and ask God to help you to be caring and to know just what to do to
protect your loved ones from harm. Ask him to forgive you and to help you to
forgive others.
“Our Father, who art in
Heaven,
Hallowed
be Thy name.
Thy kingdom come.
Thy
will be done,
On
earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day, our daily bread.
And
forgive us our trespasses,
As
we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.”
