Joan Y. Edwards is an author, illustrator, and licensed teacher in North Carolina. She is author/illustrator of the delightful and humorous picture book, Flip Flap Floodle. Her Never Give Up blog, http://www.joanyedwards.wordpress.com, encourages writers and artists never to give up and to submit their creative works once a month (PubSub3rdFri). Her website, http://www.joanyedwards.com has devotionals, wordsearch and crossword puzzles for all three liturgical Cycles A, B, and C.

 

Joan is a member of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI). Her articles have been published in the SCBWI-Carolinas Pen & Palette and in the Working Writer Newsletter. Her article, “Find Your Creative Edge,” appeared in the July-August 2011 SCBWI Bulletin.

 

Edwards enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She presents interactive writing and motivational talks and workshops for children and adults. She loves reading humorous and self-help books. For inspiration and self-acceptance, she especially enjoys the writing and teaching of Robert Schuller, Hale Dwoskin, Joel Osteen, Bob Proctor, Maxwell Maltz, and Tony Robbins.
